The 2025 Reading and Leeds Festivals are gearing up to deliver an electrifying weekend filled with an impressive mix of old favourites and rising stars. This year’s lineup has something for everyone, offering everything from some of the biggest names in music to a fresh batch of artists ready to make their mark.
First up, the headliners are set to steal the show. Chappell Roan, making her first UK festival appearance as a headliner, is sure to captivate the crowd with her bold pop sound and incredible stage presence. Her album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess has made waves, and seeing her bring it to life live will be a highlight for many festival goers.
Bring Me The Horizon, a returning headliner, are guaranteed to be a major draw. With their ability to mix metalcore with electronic influences, they’re a band that always goes above and beyond with their live shows. Expect an intense set that fans will remember for years.
Hozier, with his deep, soulful sound, is a perfect fit for the festival’s more reflective moments. His new album Unreal Unearth has been a hit, and it’ll be amazing to hear the new material alongside some of his beloved classics. His set promises to be a moment of pure emotion and musical storytelling.
But beyond the headliners, this year’s lineup offers plenty for fans of fresh, up and coming talent.
The Dare will be making an appearance at Reading and Leeds for the first time, bringing his high energy beats, pulsating synths, and an electrifying stage presence that demands attention.
Wallows, known for their indie rock vibes and catchy lyrics, are likely to win over any festival goer who hasn’t heard of them yet. Their energetic performances and undeniable chemistry as a band make them one to watch, and their set will definitely be one of the weekend’s highlights.
Wunderhorse are one of the most exciting acts this year. Blending gritty rock with deeply personal lyrics, their live shows are intense and packed with raw energy. If you’re looking for a set that’s both powerful and moving, this is one not to miss.
Royel Otis, an Australian duo with a dreamy mix of pop and indie rock, will bring a different vibe to the festival, offering a more laid back but equally captivating performance. Their smooth tunes and catchy hooks are perfect for those looking for something a little lighter, but no less compelling.
There’s a raw energy in the inclusion of Amyl and The Sniffers, another Australian band, whose punk spirit and chaotic live shows are sure to electrify the crowd. We’re yet to see them live ourselves but we’ve seen plenty of clips and we will not be missing their set.
Pale Waves, with their infectious blend of indie pop and post-punk, will bring a burst of energy to the stage. Their set is bound to have fans singing along to their anthems, and their rise in the indie scene makes them one of the most anticipated acts this year.
Sea Girls are another band returning to the festival, and they’ll no doubt give an excellent performance with their high energy indie rock. Sea Girls are, in our opinion, incredibly underrated. They’re a must see for any indie rock fans.
Overall, Reading and Leeds 2025 is shaping up to be a must attend event. The combination of big name headliners and an exciting crop of emerging artists ensures that there will be something for every music fan. From raw rock energy to emotive pop performances, this year’s line up promises to be one of the most memorable in recent years.
