It’s been a week since Truck Festival, but the post-festival haze is still very real. Our legs are sore, our voices are hoarse, and our camera roll is full of blurry crowd shots, but somehow none of that captures just how good the weekend was. For our first ever Truck, we weren’t sure what we were walking into. A field in Oxfordshire, some bands we love, some we hadn’t heard yet. How wild could it really get?
Answer: very.
There was something refreshingly unpretentious about Truck. The layout was easy to navigate, the crowds were big but not overwhelming, and the vibe felt welcoming from the moment we arrived. You could dip between stages without missing much, grab food without a massive queue, and still find a good spot even if you showed up late to a set. It felt like a festival made for actually enjoying music—not just surviving a weekend.
The sheer amount of incredible bands made it nearly impossible to pick standouts, but here are a few sets that left a lasting impression
HONEYGLAZE
We finally got the chance to see this trio live after months of having them on repeat, and they did not disappoint. There’s always a bit of curiosity around how a three-piece will translate live, but Honeyglaze absolutely made it work. Their sound is delicate and understated in places, but they hold the stage with real confidence and atmosphere. Nothing felt thin or empty, it was all perfectly measured.
Their ability to switch between dreamy introspection and sharper, moodier moments gave the whole set a really dynamic feel. Extra points, of course, for the unexpected monster that joined them on stage. No idea what that was about, but we were very into it.
BLOSSOMS
Blossoms are just one of those bands that know exactly how to deliver a good time. Their set was full of feel-good energy and crowd-pleasing moments from the jump. Even if you’ve seen them before, they somehow make it feel new every time.
The whole field was singing, dancing, shouting back every word. And then came Gary. For those who don’t know, Gary is a life-sized gorilla statue and yes, the crowd absolutely lost it when he made his appearance. Between him and the monster that popped up during Honeyglaze, we’re starting to think we have a thing for surprise onstage creatures.
Blossoms know how to work a festival crowd, and this was one of the most joyful sets of the weekend.

CLIFFORDS
Cliffords are an exciting new Irish band that’s been quietly building momentum and their set at Truck made it clear why. There’s a rare energy to their performance, one that’s both urgent and heartfelt. You could feel the passion in every note and lyric, making their songs hit harder live.
They had that perfect balance of intensity and honesty, and even people who clearly didn’t know them at the start were drawn in by the end. A proper breakout-feeling moment.
THE LAST DINNER PARTY
The Last Dinner Party truly brought their signature theatrical vibe to the stage with a setup that instantly transported you to another world. Their Roman-style pillars were the perfect touch—dramatic, elegant, and just a bit mysterious, totally on brand for their unique style.
Their stage presence was magnetic, commanding attention without feeling forced. They performed with a confidence that made every song feel like part of a grand narrative unfolding live.
One highlight was their performance of “Second Best,” a track from their upcoming album. It’s a song that already feels like it’s going to resonate deeply with fans once it’s officially out, and hearing it live was a real treat. Between their captivating visuals and this preview of new material, The Last Dinner Party left us genuinely excited for what’s next.

KASABIAN
It might sound a bit silly to say the headliner was one of the biggest highlights, especially since we weren’t longtime Kasabian fans going in. We knew their hits, of course, but weren’t quite sure what to expect beyond that. What we got was something far beyond the usual festival headline set.
Kasabian’s performance was electric. From the moment they took the stage, the energy in the crowd was palpable, even from the sidelines where we were standing. There was a raw power in their sound paired with a magnetic stage presence that pulled everyone in.
The set was a masterclass in how to headline a festival—mixing classic anthems with moments that felt fresh and alive. It turned us from casual listeners into genuine fans by the end of the night. The crowd wasn’t just watching; they were fully part of it, singing back every word and feeding off the band’s energy in a way that made the whole experience unforgettable.

Before we finish, a quick shoutout to basht., Gurriers, and Cardinals—bands we’ve already talked about so much that you probably know how much we love them by now. Each delivered sets full of passion and promise, adding even more depth to an already packed weekend.
All in all, our first year at Truck Festival was everything we hoped for and more. The music was top-notch, the atmosphere welcoming, and the surprises around every corner kept us on our toes. It’s clear this festival is built by music lovers for music lovers, and that makes all the difference.
We’re already counting down the days until next year. Truck, you’ve officially become a must-attend on our festival calendar.
